Mar 6, 1969, 55 years ago, 17 year old High school senior, I enlisted in the USMC on a four month delay program to finish school. I arrived at Boot Camp, Parris Island, SC on Jul 2, Thirty nine days before my 18th birthday. Not old enough to drink, Not old to vote, But old enough to go to foreign countries and kill, or be killed, for a country, that I now realize, has had a corrupt government at least since JFK was assassinated.
